Artwork Uploading

Artwork Uploading for Orders

We've now added a convenient Upload button to all products that are custom printed.

To ensure your designs look perfect when printed, please follow these guidelines when sending us your artwork:

File Requirements

✅ Accepted file types: .PNG, .JPG, .PDF, .SVG
✅ Transparent background unless your design includes a background colour
PDF files must be flattened (no editable layers or hidden elements)

Artwork Quality

  • No screenshots – these are low resolution and will produce poor print quality.

  • All artwork must be high resolution (300 DPI) for best results.

  • Bleed space must be included for all designs with a full colour background – extend the background past the cut line to avoid white edges (at least 3mm bleed).  For Candle Dust Covers please include the tab!

Special Requirements for Satin Labels & Foiling

  • Artwork must be 100% black ink only – no grey tones, shading, or colours.

  • Black areas will be printed or foiled; white/empty areas will be left blank.

  • Thicker lined fonts work best with Satin Labels & Foiling - this is due to the ink sitting on top of textured fabric and for foiling, it gives the foil more coverage.

Sending Your Artwork

  • Using Canva? You can send us an Edit/Access link to your design, and we’ll download it in the correct format for your product.

  • No upload button on your product? Email your artwork to paperlovecards@gmail.com and include your order number in the subject line.

Tips for a Smooth Process

  • Check your file before sending – zoom in to ensure edges are sharp.

  • If your design has a background colour, make sure it’s included in the file.

  • Include extra bleed if your design runs to the edge.

  • If you’re unsure whether your file meets the requirements, contact us before ordering.

Final Checklist

Before submitting your file, double-check that it is:

✅ 300 DPI resolution
✅ CMYK color mode
✅ Correct trim size with 0.125" bleeds
✅ Text converted to outlines or fonts embedded
✅ No outlines, crop marks or printer’s marks unless requested

💡 Why these rules matter: Following these steps ensures your labels are clean, accurate, and exactly as you envision them—without unexpected edges, colour shifts, or blurry prints.
